Non School Organisation Program (NSO)

The Children’s Therapy Centre (CTC) is funded by the Department of Education and Training (DET) under the Non School Organisation (NSO) program to provide services to children verified under a DET education adjustment program category (SLI, ID, ASD, PI, VI or HI). This services is offered at no cost to the school or family. The NSO program aims to fill a need that is not provided for by DET therapists. CTC provides a streamlined collaborative service so that students with a disability are able to better access the curriculum and classroom environment.

Some of the services offered to verified students include:

  • Speech Pathology assessment, report, functional recommendations and, if required, short term therapy in the areas of speech, language or literacy
  • Occupational therapy assessment, report, functional recommendations and, if required, short term therapy
  • Small group therapy in the areas of language, literacy or social skills.
